Sometimes, I find that I am away from home for so long that I get hungry. This means that I need to take with me some healthy snack options. This helps me save money and calories.
One thing that I like to do is make a big trail mix. These are great because you can just keep adding ingredients. They are a good on the road snack and also great for hiking.
Things to put in the mix include:
cereal such as checks or cheerios
mixed nuts
dried fruits
chocolate pieces (just a small amount)
